Enabling PayPal Express subscriptions on your store is almost exactly like integrating a payment gateway with Rebillia. There is only one extra step added to the process, and that is enabling a unique functionality within your PayPal account, “Reference Transactions”, to allow a 3rd party service (Rebillia) to create charges and orders into your PayPal account.

When the customer proceeds to checkout, they will have an option to complete their purchase with “PayPal Express Checkout”. Doing so, they will be forwarded to the regular PayPal interfaces that we all know and love. Once completing the purchase, PayPal will follow up with one more interaction – getting a confirmation from the customer to allow YOU (the merchant – not Rebillia) to apply further charges to their PayPal account for the subscription. Once the customer agrees and selects the payment method they want to be used from their PayPal account – it is done!

In Rebillia’s “Customer Control Panels”, the customer will have the ability to edit his payment method and update his PayPal payment agreement with PayPal to select a new payment method from their PayPal account for future charges.
